The starting point for this work is the continual movement of tides as water flows around denser material, shifting sediment and reshaping boundaries.

Flow can appear momentary, yet over time it has the power to erode, transport and transform entire landscapes. The painting explores this tension between the transient movement of water and its lasting effect on the land.
