The complex structures hidden inside rocks and minerals are the starting point for this work. Enlarged beyond their familiar scale, mineral veins, fractures and deposits begin to echo the forms and patterns of the wider landscape. The painting explores this hidden geology and the slow processes of pressure, movement and accumulation that create the structures beneath the land.
