The changing Pindan landscape of Western Australia's Kimberley region inspired this work. During the long dry season, the intense heat dries the muddy Pindan soil, causing it to peel back and separate into intricate formations across the sand. I was particularly drawn to the way these fractured surfaces retain the imprint of water that has long since evaporated.
